The local Odd Fellows chapter will confer the First Degree on two new members at its meeting tomorrow night at the Masonic Temple. Noble Grand Dalton Prince will preside and a light lunch will be served after.
The first meeting of what may be the United States first Naval Reserve Guided Missile Unit is set for tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Naval Reserve Armory Camp Decatur. Walter C. Michaels urges attendees with missile experience to join as the unit aims to teach fundamentals of guided missiles to other Reserve Units.
Howard K. Cramer announces candidacy for re election in California Assembly 80th District. He files on both parties citing record of serving San Diego County and opposition to tax increases including gasoline tax and vehicle fees. Cramer also warns Congress on tidelands ownership and cites his appointment to key Assembly committees.
Over 200 attended the PTA meeting where C Russell Henzie of the San Diego Guidance Bureau gave an authoritative talk on sex hygiene. He distributed a bibliography of age appropriate books, and Glorietta School won the attendance award for a second time, earning a companion tree.
Commander in Chief Ray H. Brenneman of Denver will attend an honorary VFW banquet at the Continental Room San Diego Hotel at 6 30 p m tomorrow March 17 with Howard J Kimble and Mrs Kimble attending. Brenneman will address San Diego veterans at 914 Seventh Avenue at 9 p m Wednesday.
