Fireproof Jail Needed Urgently in Coronado
Coronado Chief of Police J. W. Jordan urges a new fireproof jail and police building. The 1923 facility, built for three officers, now houses 18, with cramped quarters and rising workload figures, including a 140 percent rise in cases in 1946 over 1940.
