The Coronado Yacht Club moves from the historic Glorietta Bay boat house to a new clubhouse at the head of Glorietta Bay. The old boat house returns to its original function as a boat facility once more, recalling the era of the Glorietta cabin cruiser and local figure Cap Perkins.

Opening of Crown Pool Draws Large Crowd

118 people used Crown Pool opening on Sunday manager B J Hansen reports. Pool operates daily 10 am to 4 pm and registration for June 23 swimming classes is available at the pool or City Recreation Department office in the former USO building. A housewives class is offered and the Red Cross aided learn to swim through August 31st.

Actors' Company Plans Seven Plays at La Jolla

The Actors' Company will present seven plays this summer at the La Jolla Playhouse. Board members Joseph Cotten Mel Ferrer Jennifer Jones Dorothy McGuire and Gregory Peck announced the season under Kiwanis Club sponsorship. Each play runs one week during the initial season with five Hollywood performers to headline.
