Donald T. Piatt, longtime partner at Bean and Piatt at 817 Orange Avenue, has purchased Mr. Bean's interest and becomes sole owner. The store is renamed Piatt's Menu Mart and will continue offering higher grade groceries and meats for Coronado housewives.

Yacht Club Opens New Club House With Three Day Opening

Coronado Yacht Club wrapped up a three day open house with a formal taps farewell from the boat house tower. Visiting yachtsmen departed as slips emptied and skippers returned their boats. The docks hosted a mix of craft from many clubs with coffee bacon and lively yachting talk into the night.

Coronado School of Fine Arts begins its summer session on June 30 and runs through August 15. Registrations start Monday and continue through June 27.
