Household Stain Tips From Old Time Remedies
To color cottons before washing soak 20 minutes in cold water with a handful of salt. To remove white marks on dark furniture from heat, cover with cold cigarette ashes and rub away then polish with sweet oil. For ink on carpets pour salt on wet spots and replace salt as it soaks up the ink. Even old spots can fade with water and a thick salt layer.
