Horseless Carriages Parade Invades Coronado This Weekend
The Southern California Horseless Carriage Club of Glendale visits Coronado on April 30 and May 1 with 50 motor vehicles that run on their own power. They convene at the Ferry entrance by 8 p.m. Saturday, then march up Orange Avenue to the Hotel del Coronado grounds under the Coronado Chamber of Commerce sponsorship.

Racing Ace Frank Lovell To Lead Coronado Parade
Frank Lovell known as the Racing Ace will lead Coronado’s Saturday parade from the hotel grounds. He will ride a motor scooter in vintage auto racing costume as unofficial parade marshal during the arrival of the California Horseless Carriage cavalcade from Los Angeles. He is famed for racing since 1907 and once with Eddie Rickenbacker, now patrols meters and issues tickets while amassing a global token collection.

Arrests Increase Here Chief Tells City Council
Police Chief J W Jordan told the City Council that arrests and cases rose in the first three months of this year. He reported 2111 cases through March 31, up from 1920 the prior year, and noted annexation of Silver Strand will shift investigative duties toward Fort Emory after May 20.

City Council bars makeshift City Hall site and edges toward permanent plans
The council voted down a bid to acquire the former Naval Security Building at the Naval Air Station entrance and discussed moving the Coronado Clubhouse to the Civic Center as a municipal building. An ordinance to ban bridge and similar games was adopted on first reading. Sailors Fined for Alley Burglary and Battery
Ronald Y Colter and Robert G Hitson, both 22 and based at the Naval Amphibious Base, were fined 500 dollars with 250 suspended after being found guilty of battery. They followed Mike Verdusco home early Sunday, assaulted him, took his wallet and a bundle, and fled before a chase by Verdusco and Mickey Mattes. A liberty card helped police locate them in a city tavern the next night.
