Kerry's 99 Battles Fox Amusement Bowl To Standstill
Kerry's 99ers and Fox Amusement tied 2 to 2 in a Major League bowling match at the local alley. Amusement edged in total pins early but the 99ers rallied to pull even after the first two games. Gerry's Free Shop shut out Bob's Barbers 4 to 0 while Pete's Liquor beat Liquor 5 by the same score. Newton of Pete's Liquor posted 232 and 594 to lead individual scores and series. Amusement claimed the high two game score and high team totals with 944 and 2529.

Coronado Kiwanis sets Thursday at La Avenida Cafe to hear Harry Bennett discuss The Old Days in Southern California. Two delegates and two alternates to the International Kiwanis Convention will be chosen. Plans for Anniversary and Ladies' Night are outlined and April 20 Coronado event draws many visitors. Dr J B Askew spoke on the San Diego Community Blood Bank and urged Kiwanis and Coronado residents to donate.
