Coronado Police HQ Called Inadequate After 1947 Review
A Coronado Compass inspection finds the city’s police headquarters, built in 1923 for three, now housing 18 officers, inadequate for a population near 18,000. Jail and cell blocks fail state and federal standards, labeled unsafe and a violation of statutes, with the grand jury repeatedly criticising the conditions.
