Miss Pearce West daughter of Mrs Nelie West died at her mother's home on Wednesday morning. A Wisconsin native she had lived in Corona for several months. Funeral services led by Rev Beso B Cliff of the Methodist Church were held at 4 p m from Davis undertaking parlors. Interment followed at Sunny Slope cemetery.

Master Mason Degree Conferred by Temescal Lodge
Temescal lodge No 314 F A M conferred the Master Mason degree on two candidates last evening. Evergreen lodge of Riverside provided a visiting degree team of 25 to 30 brethren. The team trains for the Grand Lodge session in San Francisco October. The Ladies of the Eastern Star hosted an elaborate banquet followed by remarks from speakers chosen by the toast master Prof. W. A. Doron. It was a highly pleasant, memorable gathering.
