Rainfall Season Marked as Third Heaviest in Nineteen Years

The report notes May 6 rainfall of two hundredths of an inch bringing the season total to 18.22 inches and .61 inches above last season. It states that the last three seasons are among the heaviest in nineteen years, second only to springs like 1890 with 19.15 inches.

Developing Ideal Pleasure Resort

Santa Ana capitalists who bought the Alta Vista ranch near Rincon are upgrading the property to become an ideal pleasure resort. They have planted orange, lemon and walnut groves, widened driveways, beautified grounds, and are completing the fourth cottage with plans for ten more, totaling fourteen cottages in all.

The lemon market is unusually strong with prices at 5.50 per box. Orange Heights Company sold a car load at this level and Corona Lemon Company has been selling in Denver Minneapolis and other points for the same price.

Ranchers in the area report barley fields being mowed this week. Joel Wilson, owner of 600 acres on the Hoag ranch, is nearly halfway through, with estimates suggesting about 1000 tons of hay from the tract.

College Night energizes San Bernardino church meeting

The twenty first annual San Bernardino Association of Congregational Churches met at the Congregational church with delegates from Riverside, Highlands, San Bernardino, Rialto, Redlands, Ontario, Mentone, Pomona, Los Angeles and Long Beach. Arrest of Gertrude Morris in Blackmail Letter Case
