New Brotherhood Formed for Corona Church Welfare
The Brotherhood of the Congregational Church of Corona is organized to promote social civic and religious welfare of the church and city. Meetings are held on the third Monday monthly with speakers from outside the city, musical and literary programs and a banquet. Officers include President Herbert Sharp and Vice President Harry N. Sweet with several committee chairs named.

Trustees raise pastor salary for 1908
Trustees by unanimous vote increased the pastor salary from 900 to 1200 dollars per year starting January 1 1908. The raise totals 300 dollars annually and reflects his efficient work. An annual trustees report shows the church in excellent financial condition.
Prospects for Creamery In Corona Region
F B Burnham and wife of Pasadena visited Corona friends Mr and Mrs F H Roberts. Burnham, experienced in East creamery business, eyed Corona as a potential site. He planned to assess cow supply and alfalfa acreage to gauge viability for a local creamery. The Denver Express will perform at the Opera House on January 1.

Death of Mrs. John D. Glass in Corona
Mrs. John D. Glass died after a two week illness at Riverside Hospital on December 17 at age 26 years and 1 month from uraemia. She leaves a husband, two children Phillip 1 and Katharene 2.5, a stepmother, three brothers and a sister, all but one brother Everett Ogborn in Riverside. Everett, foreman of a Billings sugar factory, will arrive soon. Funeral is Saturday at 2 pm from Congregational church with Rev. E J Inwood of Los Angeles officiating. The deceased was the daughter of the late Rev A M Ogborn former pastor of Corona’s Methodist church and married John D. Glass June 15, 1904. The family has lived in Corona except for one year in New Mexico.

Corona's gas and electric company will operate 24 hours daily and extend seven miles to connect with the Pacific Light and Power Company in Los Angeles. The project aims to deliver 1000 horsepower with 17,500 volts stepping down to 2200 at Corona. Two carloads of poles and 10 000 pounds of copper wire have arrived. completion expected around January 14. The system will aid local manufacturing and provide nighttime lighting.

City Council Meeting Addresses Tree, Fountain, and Liquor License
