The Baptist and Congregational churches announce a union service tomorrow with Pastor B B Jacquez preaching in the morning at the Baptist church and in the evening at the Congregational church. Special music will accompany both services and all are welcome. Also noted is a new moving picture show in the Newton building at Fifth and Main, now open with nightly programs after remodeling. The 1xth street Store offers cleaning and pressing services and a first trial sale.
A note from the office indicates a contract inquiry over care of orange groves by acreage or alfalfa ranch on shares. Details and eligibility were requested for possible arrangements and terms.
M. W. Welle encourages Corona residents to call and stop by his newly opened shop to view offerings and discuss needs.

The Palace of Pictures opened Thursday evening to a large crowd with a first class show. Rae O Detter is well known in Southern California as a showman and his houses meet top standards. Prof Fichett, known in Corona, provides catchy music and lute illustrated songs. Overall the venue delivers a creditable performance and should prosper in Corona.

A kitchen shower was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Wim Corkhall to honor Miss Miga Lucy Corkhill who is to wed Dr Martin Moore. The event was a surprise hosted by the Methodist Philathea group, in which Miss Corkhill is an active and popular member.
The group announced officers to succeed those who will leave town soon. A. E. Trealor is named president, Mrs Walter TM Nunn the vice president, and Steph a D Hill the Financier.

Frank Beveridge injured his left hand at an emery wheel when a bar slipped and crushed the muscles. Anastacio Serrano aged three died Wednesday and was buried yesterday, son of Juan Serrano.
