Runaway Boys Arrested Here Headline

Merrill Stalker and Frank Sho walter two Orange youths aged 16 and 138 were arrested here this morning by Constable Larrabee on telegraphic advice from their parents in Orange. They were placed aboard the 2 37 train this afternoon and turned over to their conductor to deliver to their parents at home. The older boy said they planned to go to Alvord where he had money due from a rancher Warren. They left Orange yesterday morning slept out overnight two miles west of town and were taken into custody upon reaching here. A small bedding bundle and two cheap revolvers were found. The younger boy drew his $10 bank account before running away. The older is a chronic runaway. the younger’s first offense.

On application of a majority of the stockholders, United States District Judge Burns tonight appointed Duval West of San Antonio as receiver for the San Antonio Uvalde and Gulf railroad and for the Medina Irrigation company. Bonds of the companies totaling 2,750,000 dollars are held by the Bankers Trust company of St. Louis.
