The New Penitentiary Near Little Rock Progress
The walls of the new penitentiary about two miles from Little Rock are practically complete with four guard towers gates and cap stones remaining. The walls measure 400 by 500 feet with a base thickness of four feet and top thickness of 22 inches and an average height of 22 feet. Foundations for the hospital dining room and office are finished.
