Harrisburg Institute Holds November 1900 Teachers’ Meeting
The joint institute of Harrison and Connersville Townships met in Harrisburg on November 24 1900. Supt Ochiltree opened the session with Miss Ethel Hackleman at the organ. Talks covered Hygiene History Conspiracy of Aaron Burr and literature with student recitals. A well prepared dinner followed then more talks and music before the teachers departed pleased with Harrisburg hospitality.

Mrs Daniel Gise dies at her Lyons Station home after a two year decline from throat consumption. About fifty she leaves a husband a son and two daughters. Funeral at 10 30 am today at the Lutheran church with Rev Halverstadt in charge. She was highly respected by relatives and friends.

Death of Lee Sacre in San Francisco at Sixteen
Alonzo Sacre and wife of Alquina received a telegram Friday announcing the death of their son Lee Sacre in San Francisco. Lee, age sixteen, volunteered for service in August 1809, served with the 37th infantry in the Philippine Islands, returned ill, and died after a short illness in California. his remains will be brought home for interment.
