The cabinet holds 400 specimens from around the world including star fish alabaster onyx fossil fern and kaolin with local finds from Indiana and nearby counties. New department store planned for Connersville by Hackman and partners

Joseph Hackman of Lewell Ind has leased the D. T. Roots building previously occupied by a Philatook store in Connersville. Heeb Brothers are expected to join, forming a furniture and stove shop enterprise, and a warm welcome awaits the new venture and its likely success.

Pleasant Surprise Honors T. F. Hamilton at 70th Birthday

About 45 neighbors gathered Saturday evening to celebrate T. F. Hamilton's 70th birthday at his new Virginie Avenue home. Supt. vie Ochiltree delivered a brief presentation speech as Mr. Hamilton, surprised yet gracious, offered a thankful reply. The event included literary and social games and light refreshments before departure at about ten.

Jolly Surprise Birthday Party For Miss Nellie Murray

About thirty young friends secretly gathered near the Murray place three miles south of the city to surprise Miss Nellie Murray on her birthday.
