A mixed outdoor social last Saturday afternoon and evening on the White Water bank three miles south of Connersville attracted young women from Nailtown Connersville Rushville and nearby points. Catering was planned but the women dominated the activity shifting to games and moonlit fun after the meal. Attendees included Miss Hypesta Gordon Miss Ray of Ruech i Miss Perkins and several Websters along with Miss Murray Miss Shillinger and Miss Ambrose Elliott.
Unofficial census figures place Indianapolis population at 168 915, up 63 470 people or 60.3 percent from 1890. Reports say an enterprising burglar gang is active with incidents at John Theders residence and Leonard and Riemen on Central Ave. A week earlier the same group stole about $30 in cash and goods from Leonard and Riemen. Calu Hardware was also visited, but the thieves fled. Police say a strong clue sizes up the case as suspects known to some individuals. A new fashion trend, waist shirts, appears in Connersville, while Cincinnati patent owner G W Bennett seeks voluntary bankruptcy.

Thomas spent years in the county and Fayette prior to the sale as he leaves for expanded opportunities.
