Pfc. Heyliger, a Concord man, was killed in action on Guadalcanal the first beachhead in the Southwest Pacific. He died while battling the Japanese and was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross. His funeral was arranged by Augusta Foss and Mrs Leo R Dee with MacRae Funeral Service handling arrangements.
An important meeting of the Concord Retirement Board is scheduled for next Monday at 8 o'clock in the court room of the Town House. All members are urged to be present.
