Immature plant-like growths from chemical membranes
Professor Leduc of France demonstrated artificial plant like growths from copper ferrocyanide membranes formed by sugar and potassium ferrocyanide in copper sulfate. Buds developed into a hollow rod chain, absorbing medium and growing from surface to form complex structures. The diffusion of solutions can yield plant forms and decorative patterns, with implications for biology and inorganic chemistry.
