Special Town Meeting Votes Water For Horses In Trough
In conjunction with the Republican caucus on September 21 a special town meeting decided to install water in the horse trough at the center of Bedford. Residents opposed a new fountain near their premises, but a standpipe and sign to serve automobiles were approved with a $100 appropriation. A dipper-equipped pipe will rise six to eight inches above the trough. A committee was formed to study the Lexington Bedford town line water issue and delegates were elected to various conventions.
