Sudbury Public Health Nursing Association announces a School Nursing Program to raise awareness of child health needs and to ensure optimal physical mental and emotional well being. The service includes school health education, physician examinations support, defect correction, and teaching health supervision to teachers parents and students.
Describes nurse teacher roles in schools including healthful environment, sanitation, emergency care, handicap prevention, and coordination with families and communities. Details methods of instruction, health talks, home visits, and curriculum integration with records of issues and corrections.
Members of Holy Name Societies from St. Bernard's Church and Our Lady Help of Christians West Concord plan participation in a Boston Holy Hour and parade the first week of October. Five pontifical masses are scheduled and Holy Name members from across the country will attend. The Holy Hour on Friday night October 8 will be at Braves Field and the parade on Sunday October 5 with Police Commissioner Thomas Sullivan serving as parade marshal.

Miss Eleanor Victoria Bemis daughter of Mr and Mrs James C Bemis of West Concord wed Walfred George Erickson last Saturday at St George s Episcopal Church Maynard. Rev Harold Goll Jr officiated. The reception was at the bride’s home. Guests came from several towns and states. The couple will live in Gardner where the groom works.
Several Maynard Rotarians and their wives will leave next week for Poland Springs Maine where they will attend a conclave. The group plans meetings and fellowship during the event with Rotary officials and local sponsors in attendance.
