The West Concord-S.S. Mohawk Sea Scouts under Skipper George R. Simms Sr placed second in the Fred Nelson Regatta on the Charles River at Waltham. Hold Military Rites for Vet at Concord
Funeral services with military rites were held for J. Alyosis Kamanos 57 of Plainfield Road farmhand who worked on the Alden Wheeler farm at Nine Acre Corner. Rev Edward Perry Daniels led the service with James Mansfield Post No 158 assisted and a firing squad conducted taps. The town flag flew at half staff in honor of the WWI veteran. Kamanos, born in Poland, had worked on local farms for 20 years. his body was found on the Primac Farm in Lincoln.
