The Concord High School class of 1935 schedules its 25th reunion for Saturday September 24 at the Concord Rod and Gun Club. A full course smorgasbord and dancing to an orchestra are planned. For information and reservations call Mrs. Carleton Walker Mrs. Emery Loring or Maurice L. Dee.

Concord like police and firemen had a quiet weekend until Saturday when four alarms were reported. Two were for flooded oil burners and one for an air blower at the new regional high school. By Tuesday 212 alarms and 159 ambulance runs had been logged with Crosby's dump also noted.

Carlisle annual United Grange fair returns to Westford 4 H Center for a two day event. Judging starts 10 AM Saturday with grand opening at 11 AM. Activities include a marathon, dairy show, antique auto show, kids sports, and a night variety show. Sunday features a giant horse show goat show pie eating and awards at 5 PM. Granges from Carlisle Westford Lincoln Bedford participate.
Concord Democratic officials report Corbett joined two meetings of town committee leaders called by State Chairman Lynch to boost intra town cooperation during the fall campaign. He also serves as Senator Kennedy's Concord representative and has been in touch with Byron White, National Chairman of Citizens for Kennedy, about their Massachusetts operation. The town committee's supply of bumper and window stickers is temporarily exhausted but will be replenished soon.
Carlisle planning board holds a public hearing at Spalding School Auditorium at 8 p m on the subdivision request by Ingemann and Dorothy Neilsen for their South Street property shown on a June 22 plan. The Automobile Association warns motorists to prevent oil on garage floors to protect tires and rubber.
Concord selectmen accepted an invitation for Norwich University cadets to participate in an April 19 1961 ceremony. Sudbury Valley Trustees invited a hearing in South Lincoln Wednesday at 6 p.m. with planning board and conservation committee to attend. A club alcoholic license noted no liquor sale restrictions during Tuesday's primary voting hours.
Retired Central New York bishop Malcolm E. Peabody will preach and lead services at Trinity Church Concord starting this Sunday during the rector’s sabbatical year. He will reside in Cambridge and pursue Harvard Divinity School courses while Rev. H James Graham assists in Concord on Sundays Tuesdays and Thursdays. Endicott Peabody, son of the bishop, seeks the Democratic nomination for governor.
Irish Sea record pursuer Chace UPI Florence plans a cross channel style attempt between September 15 and October 1. The feat spans about 30 miles, roughly the historic 21 leginat line, a distance last conquered by Tom Blower in 1947 with a 15 hour 25 minute crossing.
Concord selectmen report a letter from the Boston and Maine to hold a state department hearing at the State House Boston on October 6 at 10 am to act on permission to discontinue certain passenger routes on the Fitchburg line.
Concord notices a Knights of Columbus gathering at Monument Hall with sports films and a report by Grand Knight Lawrence J. Dwyer. The installation of officers is scheduled for Sept 20 and a fund raising dinner for Oct 12 is planned. Mr and Mrs Walter R Carew of 3 Pleasant Street welcome their sixth child and fourth boy Dennis Patrick born August 80 at Emerson Hospital. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs John Healy of Medford. Mr Carew is a Concord High School junior high teacher and varsity coach.
ConcordSergi James F Hanley and Patrolman Martin S Yauga investigated an August 30 accident at the Liberty Monument corner. Property damage reported and the car towed from the scene.
Concord voters face a light primary turnout with 12 PM to 8 PM polls across three precincts at the State Armory Harvey Wheeler School and a new fire station. Incumbents Rep John S Eaton Jr and Mrs Edith Nourse Rogers seek party renomination while governor candidates include John Volpe and William Madden.
Concord President Frank Neal and Secretary Mike Lombardo announce a meeting open to all members on Tuesday evening September 13 at 8 o clock in Monument Hall K of C rooms. First matches set for Concord Bowl arena September 16 at 7 30 p m. A children’s bowling league is planned for Saturday September 17 at 10 a m with details to follow.
