Concord Resident Dies After Illness
A Concord native, formerly known as Ole Olson Cam ilie, died Tuesday after a lingering illness in hospital. Born in Norway on October, he lived in the area for many years. He was once a lamplighter for the VY. Interment was in the local cemetery. He leaves his wife Christofferson Ol aughters Mrs Cor of Concord and Mrs Maden of Teaneck, a son George Oland, and four grandchildren.

Holiday Fire Damages Home In Concord
A morning fire at 8 to 10 Belknap Street in Concord caused about 2000 dollars in damage to the kitchen and rear of the town owned house. Fire Chief Harry B Tuttle directed crews from Central Station. No one was home. tenants and visitors were away for the summer. The blaze caused heavy smoke and water damage and burned interior walls and ceilings. A neighbor reported smoke as firefighters battled the blaze for about two hours.

Salter Returns From Alaska Trip With Students
Warren Salter of 16 Middle Street, a Concord High School teacher, returned home after spending the summer in Alaska. He drove there in a new 1951 truck nicknamed the Alaska Express, traveling with about 10 college students who worked on a local project. All report a fine trip.
