The Three Johnnies plan a dancing party at Cooperative Hall next Tuesday. Mrs R A Dodson of Methuen was entertained at the Merrick home. William Bishop of Summer street announced his daughter Grace Elizabeth’s engagement to Orville Pollard Tucker. Anna Downey takes a three week vacation with her mother Mary Downey at Parker street.

Pretty wedding in Concord counts as Stone Williams nuptials

Lilian May Williams and Burton Mark Stone exchanged vows at a Concord church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Smith Owen Dexter. The bridal party included ushers Edwin and Fred Williams and bridesmaid Edith Williams, with flower girls Dorothy Noyes and others. The couple, who will reside in Cleveland, Ohio, were feted at a church reception as music by Charles P. Lamarr and Hardy catered. Mrs Stone, a Concord graduate and former Gownshop worker, wore a cream satin gown. Guests came from Jamaica Plain Dorchester New Hampshire and Peabody.

Brooks Wins Three Quarters Handicap at Concord Country Club

Arthur B. Brooks won the three quarters handicap against bogey in a close finish at Concord Country Club Saturday, also taking the turkey prize. Dr. R. H. Howe Jr was elected club president for the next year, with Fred Eaton as vice president and Edi Dallcas and Herbert W. Timeent as secretary and officials.

Verdict Favoring Railroad in West Acton Fire Case

A Lowell superior court jury returned a sealed verdict in favor of the defendant Boston & Maine Railroad Co in three West Acton fire cases. Plaintiffs George W. Burroughs D Fessenden and Orville D. den filed claims for building and contents loss from a July 1913 blaze. The jury deliberated nine hours.
