Grange Confers Degrees on 23 Candidates in Meeting
At the Anau rsnae Grange regular gathering the third and fourth degrees were conferred on 23 candidates. The Ladies Degree team led by Mrs. Clara Sweet performed a beautiful and impressive ceremony with strong training. Guests arrived from Concord Maynard Lincoln Westboro Hedford Acton and Littleton. An excellent supper preceded the degree work in the banquet hall. Tables featured orange, blue and gold colors and the lodge rooms showed autumn foliage and cut flowers.

The United Workers held an all day vestry meeting at The Church of Christ to arrange items for sale at a November fair. Mr and Mrs Cunningham of South Street returned to work after a week in the White Mountains. Miss Ge Winchenbaugh of Hartford Street is ill at home with scarlet fever. Mr Coleman drove his car on M Avenue in Lexington to avoid a pedestrian. the vehicle hit a house and caused a 35 stitch injury to the driver with the car totalled.
