The Works Progress Administration presents the Federal Theatre Marionettes in Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp starting at 8 30 p m The marionette performance is the first in the band’s six year series of youth parties aimed at keeping kids off the streets.

Barrett Family Home and Militia Leader in Concord History
The Barrett family owned the Concord homestead from 1705. James Barrett, born 1740, became a militia colonel in 1775 and oversaw military stores in Concord. British raids in April 1775 targeted the house. Mrs. Barrett refused to feed the enemy and declared blood price. The family retained lands into 1778 when Col Barrett died and his son Peter inherited key parcels.
