The Concord Woman's Club under Mrs. E D Brooks staged three plays to benefit the Aboytr Koime Scholarship at Hindman School. Cast included Dorothy Morgan as Kerra and Mason Garfield as Pier. Services For Mrs Chaplin In West Concord
Funeral for Harriet Ward Chaplin wife of Waldo Chaplin was held at West Concord Union church at 2 00 p m Sunday conducted by Rev Alfred Wheeler Stone. John R MacKenzie sang The Gate Ajar For Me and The Beautiful Isle of Somewhere per family request. Grandsons Clarence Shattuck Edward Cullinane Harry Thomas and George Hefty served as bearers. Interment was in West Acton. Born Winchester January 1861 she lived in West Concord 53 years and was active in multiple local groups. She is survived by husband two daughters Pearl Loomer and Mae Miller one son Winfield Chaplin four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Union Service Held Sunday at Union Congregational Church
A full Union Thanksgiving service was conducted Sunday evening at Union Congregational Church. Rev. Charles H. Carroll spoke on science and invention revealing the Infinite Mind. A joint service is planned for Thanksgiving morning at 9 30 in St George's church.

School Holds First Social West Concord
The Harvey Wheeler School hosted the season’s first social on Friday at 4 oclock. Eighth grade pupils and the High School Freshman Class attended dancing games and refreshments. Miss Julia Dee provided piano music and the crowd cheered for Principal Mr Chittim and the Freshmen. Miss McDermott, Middlesex Extension Service secretary, will teach at Burdett College Boston.

Last Concord G A R Veteran Is Laid To Rest
Commander Lewis H G George the last Civil War veteran in Concord died at his home in West Concord. The funeral was held in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with full military honors. Rev John A C Auer officiated. Surviving veterans could not attend. The body lay in state at the chapel and was escorted to the grave by veterans with firing volleys and taps. George was born in Boston May 26 1844, lived most of his life in Concord, enlisted in Massachusetts Volunteer troops, was a carpenter, and had no surviving family.

Mrs Grace Mann Dies After Marlboro Fall
Mrs Grace Mann aged 74 died at Marlboro hospital Sunday after a fall at a Marlboro house last Wednesday. She suffered a broken arm and hip but appeared to recover until worsening Sunday morning. Born in Glasgow Scotland she had lived in town 58 years. Survived by daughters Nellie and Florence Mann son William Mann town tax collector and sister Mrs Jean Coulter.
