Concord Highs Clash With Lexington In Thursday Game

Concord High meets Lexington Thursday at 10 AM in the Center playground in the 23rd series game since 1920. Concord leads the series with last year’s 7 6 win and holds 10 victories, nine losses, and four ties. The contest features captains Joe Sullivan for Lexington and Dana Tierrell and John Parker for Concord, with key linemen Windhol and Anderson listed among the heaviest players.

Concord Rotary Panel Delivers Four Subject Talks

The Concord Rotary Club met last Thursday for a noon luncheon and a four-speaker panel. Selectman Hubert M Wardwell spoke on How the Political Machinery Works, E Payson True on Economic Functions, Rev Edward Perry Daniels on Social Education and cultural organizations, and Col John E Mutty on Military Staff Committee and armed forces. A high mass of requiem was celebrated at Lady Help of Christians church West Concord on Wednesday morning for William Boylan 74 a retired harness maker who died Sunday night at a West Concord hospital Burial was in St Berhard's Boylan was born in Ireland and lived in Concord for the last 40 years. At the regular Concord School Committee meeting in the high school library, the board approved principal Willard H. Smith’s recommendation to hold graduation on June 12, 1946. The move, though earlier than usual, frees the final week for winding up activities and related preparations for the senior class.
