Cambridge couple Mr and Mrs James Conlan and children were guests of Mr and Mrs David Scanlon for a week. Frank Hood started work at the Brooks garage. Miss Ola Keyes visited Hopkinton sister Mrs Frank Leighton. Charles Lombardo moved his family to Maple Street. Maud C. Robinson and Jam e C. 8. Robinson occupied a new F. C. Baker bungalow on Commonwealth avenue. Mrs F. E. Hawkes and Mrs George Park with children visited Mrs John Aiden in Maynard. L. J. McCaffrey returns to duties at the Reformatory after illness at Mass General.
The first Fall meeting of the Woman s auxiliary of the James J Mansfield Post was held Tuesday evening in the State Armory Concord with a large turnout from that town end. The auxiliary supports the American Legion and urges all eligible persons with a World War service member in the family to enroll.
Maynard Grange members earned the seventh degree at the National Grange convention in Minnesota. The list includes Hayward master, Frank E. Sanderson, Wallace Priest, Irvin Howe, Mabel Bishop, Louise Bellows, Irene Martin, Grace Perley, Alice Eaton, Everett Marchant, and many others from Acton Tufts College fling team member injured in a football game at Saco two weeks ago. Two weeks later the Tufts team played again.
The Concord Art association will stage its annual exhibition at the town hall from November 21 to December 4 with daily hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Marycliff Alumnae Association has elected Conley of Cambrac as its president.
Armistice Day was observed Thursday with flags flying on private and public staffs nationwide. A dance was held in Amory, with Jansen J. Mansfield Pont of AL leading the ceremony. Local committees included Herbert as chairman, Edward F. Call, and Thomas J. Jelily. Public schools closed for the day. simple observances were held Wednesday in schools.
Invitations issued by Mr and Mrs William Wheeler of Nashawtuc road announce the marriage of their niece Esther Howe Wheeler to Leslie Oscar Anderson of 14 Hubbard Street. The ceremony will be at the First Parish Meeting House on Saturday evening November 27 at 8 o'clock with aReception at the bride’s uncle and aunt’s home. Miss Wheeler is the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Frank Wheeler.
Program 100 at the local children’s hospital held a lawn party Thursday afternoon on Mrs M B L Brad’s lawn. About a dozen children attended with games, tea punch, and decorations.
Better speech week will be observed with high attention on the first three days of Thanksgiving week. Mr and Mrs Frank Read and their family moved from Main Street to South Street into the late Adelaide Rollins house. Lexington Park buildings are torn down and the park will be sold for house lots and lumber also for sale. Mr and Mrs William Kelly and family moved into the Read residence on Main Street. A town hall supper and reception hosted by the Parent-Teacher Association last Thursday was a great success.
In a four period NCAA epee heat, Lexington edges Wayland as Laffney, Moakly, Kelly, and Chapman contribute for the Lexington squad while Wayland's lineup includes Foley and Potnay. No final score is provided.
Abraham Pirnes 40 died at home 21 Glendalest Friday after a long illness. Born in Finland he worked as a weaver at the Assabet mill and left a wife. Funeral was Sunday at his home, with a Parker Street service led by the Socialist club. Burial in Glenwood cemetery. The Waltham fair reports a deficit and plans to form a stock company to support future fairs.
Auction on Friday Nov 19 1920 at 10 A M on premises Margouleff farm Concord Ave in Lexington Massachusetts near the electric car line between Lexington and Wal cam. The farm known as George Glass Farm lists horses cows hogs poultry and supplies. Also note sale on Tuesday Nov 23 1920 for Mr Wilder and others in Massachusetts.
