Thomas Foley, a World War II veteran and former U S Marine, received a good conduct medal from the War Department in Washington with a letter dated September 15, 1920. Motorcycle Crash in Stow Leads to Liquor Charge
A Stow motorcycle crash caused slight injuries to two riders. The driver said he moved to pass an automobile near the cemetery on the road to Hudson, left the road, hit a stone wall, and police found liquor in the vehicle. Residents from Lowell and Fitchburg were taken to the lockup after medical care. At Concord Court Monday they were charged with keeping liquor with intent to sell. case continued one week.

Hunters Return With Deer From Shin Pond Expedition
Dr Clifford King and companions Frank Thompson Fred Whitcomb Harry Bruce returned from three weeks in northern woods near Shin Pond. The party brought home eight deer and a 200 pound black bear. Hanslip stayed on for winter trapping as four inches of snow covers the region.
