Cyrus L Willis of Waltham visited his mother Mrs Walker in town Sunday. The stork brought a nine pound baby to Mr and Mrs H F Maynard last week. P W Jones speeds up cellar and house work hoping to move in before cold weather. Railroad commissioners visited Saturday to review the Marlboro and Waltham electric railway route and dined at Wayside Inn. The Rogers farm on Marlboro road sold to R B McDade of Columbia Falls Me for an all year home. Parmenter and Richardson returned from a Maine camping trip with three deer shot and a large one. Edward R Smith died Sunday noon after Brights disease. He was born here, son of the late Farwell Smith. He leaves widow and daughter and a son from a former wife. Funeral at the house Wednesday afternoon.

Hon Homer Rogers Dies After Long Career In Boston Area
Hon Homer Rogers native and longtime resident of Allston dies after illness. He left a widow and six children, with Harland among them. Born Oct 11 1840, he earned Williams College degree in 1862, served in the Forty fifth Massachusetts, and later led local business and public roles including Boston firms, and was president of the 1889 city aldermen board. Funeral from 42 Gardner St Allston conducted by Rev John O Haring.
