Early returns show Coolidge leading in several states including New York and Georgia while Smith and Roosevelt gain traction in others. Republican gains cited in some districts with shifting majorities. notable notices include an impeachment report in Oklahoma and a 1925 auto plate reading in New York.
The text records John J. Donohue thanking voters of the Tenth Middlesex District for support in his bid for Representative and congratulating Mr Dyson on winning. It notes he was not elected and mentions making friends, not enemies, with the campaign.
In a landslide Republican show, Coolidge Dawes and ticket swept the town. Donohue and Wallsh were the only Democrats to win local seats, with Ful ler defeating Curley and a dry referendum passing big while Child Labor Referendum failed. Voter turnout set a town record with 2045 ballots cast and long noon lines.
In New England the struggle between Senator David I. Walsh and Speaker Frederick H. Gillett continues unresolved. Walsh claims a 10,000 vote edge while Gillett leads in another count. Continued on page six.
Henry T G Dyson expresses gratitude to the voters of Maynard and the district for their support at the polls and pledges to give the district his best.
Concord led the Republican wave with 2686 votes cast, 97 percent of total 2766, backing representative candidates including Moyse Fitzgerald and David LaFollette Gillett. The slate features Coolidge and statewide offices with Meant results for auditor and secretary, among others, and multiple referenda questions.
