A large gathering witnessed the dedication of Newton Council Scout Cabin at Nobscot Mountain. The 100 by 7 foot log cabin, donated by J. Orr in memory of his wife, serves 29 troops with a 45-cabin camp area across 75 acres. Mayo Weeks and Maynard Hutchinson spoke on service, while the Newton Post Band performed and the ceremony ended with a National Anthem.

Mr and Mrs Machries O Connor of 16 Pingstreet Maynard observe their twenty fifth wedding anniversary with relatives and friends at their home. A program of song and folk dancing followed congratulatory gifts and messages by telephone and cards. The couple married in Whitman and have lived in Maynard for 25 years with children Margaret Maurice and Daniel assisting.

England born weaver at Assabet mill who retired in 1918 died after a long illness. She lived in Tilton New Hampshire before moving to Maynard. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 PM at Mr Webster home, conducted by Roy Hason Cross of St George's Episcopal Church. Burial was in Tilton, NH. An abundance of flowers showed friends' esteem.

Sudbury Man Dies After Lifelong Parsonage Life
Sudbury man Joel D. Haynes aged 76 died in a Lincoln home after moving two weeks ago. He owned land where the new Town hall is being built and ran a milk business in Sudbury for years. For nearly 40 years he worked for Whiting Milk Co traveling between Boston and Northampton collecting milk. He retired three years ago and had been ill since. He leaves a son Albert Haynes of Sudbury and several nephews and nieces. Interment was in Mt Pleasant cemetery under Joseph Dee pf.

Mrs Frances Coburn of 78 Aldie Street Alliston had a car wreck at the Main and Elm Street intersection Friday morning when a child in the back pulled at a seat. The mother sustained unspecified injuries and the incident was treated at the scene.

Concord native F L Mason died at his Monument street home after a long farming career. The funeral was held at his home with Rev. Geo L Thurlow officiating, and burial took place in Green Cemetery, Carlisle. Mason, last of his family, was born in Concord 70 years ago to Marshall and Carrisa Mason and never married. He sold his large farm to John Windhol years ago.

Garney Escapes Injury After Sudbury Car Crash
Garney a Johnson Pharmacy clerk escaped serious injuries Friday night when his car collided with Roy Sims of South Lincoln on Nine Acre Road near Briardale Farm in Sudbury. Both drivers suffered minor cuts as both cars were wrecked. Sims lacked a seat belt and Garney notified Maynard police who called state patrol at Lake Walden Barracks.
