Dee Family Marks Silver Anniversary in Concord

The Dee family of Concord observes their silver anniversary with a gathering of relatives. Mr Dee and Agnes O Dowd celebrate with five children, three serving in the Army and Navy. Corp East W Dee and Pfc James H Dee Jr serve stateside, Air Fortes veteran of Europe, Lieut Marian F Dee in the Nurses Corps in the Pacific, plus Martha and Norman at home. The family is well known locally and Mr Dee is in business.

The Concord Council Knights of Columbus committee met Friday to plan the harvest supper. Grand Knight William R. Oen and Thomas J. Bigy Dr. led the meeting. The event is set for Monday evening November 5 at the Verhods Building with tickets from committee members. Public welcome.

Parking Ban For Winter In Concord Town

Concord motorists are reminded that from November 1 to April 1 1946 a law bans night parking in front of homes. First violators are warned and later penalty enforced to aid the town war department in keeping streets clear of snow.

Concord couple Mr and Mrs Murray mark their fifth wedding anniversary October 26 1940. They have lived in Concord since and Mrs Murray the former Esther D Sanborn. The husband was employed locally before entering the Army about five years ago and is now in the Pacific theatre. They have one son.

High Mass for Miss Margaret E. Brown in Concord

The funeral for 43 year old Margaret E. Brown of West Concord was held Saturday at Our Lady Help of Christians church with Rev. Joseph W. Leilhvan officiating. She is survived by brothers Joseph and James, with burial at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.

Ex Army Air Corps Lieut Mara Dies. Concord Mourns

Lieut. Richard H. Mara 29 U S Army Air Corps veteran of many missions over Europe died last October 13. His wife Allison Ringrose Mara survives along with mother Mrs Annie J Mara and four sisters and three brothers. Mara, a Concord native, was a standout athlete at Concord High School and served with Patton's Army in Europe. He was among the first pilots to enter Germany and helped liberate prisoners from a Nazi camp. He married Allison Ringrose in June 1944. Further family notices are expected from the War Department or commanding officer.
