Ex Army Air Corps Lieut Mara Dies. Concord Mourns
Lieut. Richard H. Mara 29 U S Army Air Corps veteran of many missions over Europe died last October 13. His wife Allison Ringrose Mara survives along with mother Mrs Annie J Mara and four sisters and three brothers. Mara, a Concord native, was a standout athlete at Concord High School and served with Patton's Army in Europe. He was among the first pilots to enter Germany and helped liberate prisoners from a Nazi camp. He married Allison Ringrose in June 1944. Further family notices are expected from the War Department or commanding officer.
