Fred Ballou died at Lake Saranac New York on Tuesday morning after a long illness. He had lived in Maynard 12 years and advanced from clerical work to Woolen Department superintendent at Assabet mills. Survived by wife, daughter Dorothy, his parents, and two sisters. The community mourns his death.
