Local residents and visitors noted in Concord area

Timothy Ryan of Attleboro and John Watson of Winchester visited Concord. Numerous residents from Hyde Park Allston Woburn and Framingham were guests or visitors. Activities included Memorial Day preparations Grange meetings church events and a Concord High School win over Framingham. A concert by Creighton’s Coburn orchestra drew attendees.

Mr and Mrs W Reilley relocate their household to Gray Maine where he has taken a foreman position on a farm and will begin duties this week. Franklin resident Thomas King visited his mother Mrs L G King last week. The American Powder Co seeks peeled maple wood for powder making at 11 dollars per cord delivered.

Concord High Girls Tennis Schedule Ahead of June Matches

Miss Mariam Russell, manager of Concord high school girls tennis, has arranged two upcoming matches. The first on Saturday, June 2, sends the team to Wellesley to face Wellesley high school girls. The second on June 16 pits Concord against Newton high school girls in Newton.

Middlesex School Mobilizes Upper Class Volunteers for Farm Work

A large portion of Middlesex School's upper class has offered to serve on the farm this summer. The volunteers will be accepted in groups of eight and stay two weeks each, performing tasks identical to those of regular employees.
