Maynard High Junior Prom Shines At Auditorium Dance
The Maynard High School junior prom, held Friday at the auditorium, drew a crowd of relatives and friends. Sophomore gypsy-themed decorations lit the hall as about eighty juniors danced in colorful costumes. Philip Wilson led the festivities with Leona Dudzinski and Alric French as officers. Mrs Walker and others supervised decorations and the program while refreshments followed.

A Junior High School patriotic program directed by Florence Wilder featured sketches, songs such as Tenting Tonight and America Answers, recitations, and a Memorial Day Fantasy. Maynard Assembly Rainbow for Girls held a Saturday night meeting at the Masonic hall to install officers. Jimmie Creighton limited Maynard to two hits in six innings as St Michael's surged early with a big lead. Travers had three hits for St Michael's while Kehoe pitched and Travers doubled. Maynard May 28 memorial services were held for members of Progressive Lodge Knights of Pythias and Progressive Pythian Sisters. Services at St George's Episcopal Church led by Rev Eason Cross followed by lunch at Masonite hall. Mrs Alma Maki Dies In Emerson Hospital
Mrs Alma Maki 49 of 27 Glendale street died at Emerson hospital Thursday afternoon. Survived by a son and daughter. Born in Finland she came to this country 25 years ago and lived five years in Maynard where she worked in the Assabet mill. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon with burial in the family lot in a Brookline New Hampshire cemetery.

Doctor Fuchs Breaks Arm In Beverly Crash
Dr. Douglas M. Fuchs injured when his car collided with a vehicle driven by William Lundgren of 74 Dodge Street Beverly on Soldiers Field Road Boston. Fuchs treated for a broken arm at Elizabeth’s hospital and released. Lundgren suffers a fractured skull and is on the danger list. Both cars badly damaged.
