Why the Discrimination in Maynard Licenses

A Maynard reader condemns selectmen for denying victualler licenses on Sunday closing grounds seen as mere pretexts. Three applicants in the same class were treated differently, two closed Sundays while one stayed open. The writer calls this plain discrimination and urges respected citizens to condemn the action to raise the town’s semblance of decency.
