In Sudbury Frank B Porter of Leominster visited town over the weekend. Mayflowers bloomed near Great Pond while arbor day had cemetery trees planted at Mt Pleasant. A local auction emptied Fred M Thayer’s house hold goods and farming implements as he plans to leave. Only 11 of 120 plus dogs were licensed April 30 and many owners neglect law.
The Wayside Inn chapter D A R met in Sudbury on May 4 at the Clark home of granddaughters of the American Revolution. Regents and officers were elected including Regent Nellie Rica Fiske and Auditor Sarah Pratt. Refreshments were served and Revolutionary relics were shown.
The public opinion bill allowing a state election vote on policy questions via a 5000 voter petition was killed in the house by 135 to 50. Records show most members were not recorded on the final question.
