Maj Spencer Leaves Omaha for Newport R I duty
Major Theo dore K Spencer is relieved from duty as officer in charge of organized reserves of the Seventh Corps Area with headquarters in Omaha. After six weeks leave he will command the Second Battalion 18th Infantry at Newport R I. He and Mrs Spencer arrived in Concord by motor and will stay with Dr Norman C Spencer and his wife during the leave.

Sudbury May 14 The annual Children’s Day event of the Sudbury Woman’s Club was held May 7 at First Parish Church via the humanitarian Society. Miss Emily Willis presided. A short business session followed with notices of the General Federation meeting in Denver June 5-14 and an extension trip to Yellowstone. The West Concord Woman's Club held its annual May Luncheon at Union Church on Friday afternoon. Fifteen duplicate luncheon parties formed a single festive gathering with tables decorated by sweet peas and chocolate favors. The menu included fruit cocktail, soup, lobster salad, moulded ice cream, and ices. Mrs Art Walker thanked hostesses and presented a handbag to the arrangements chair. Music featured the Lois Stevens Trio with Miss Alice Bicknell and Miss Helen Sibley. Hostesses included a long list of club members led by Mrs Robert Walker and Mrs Guy Fernald.

He is about seventy and she younger. they have two sons Delmont of Augusta Maine and Rose T Ferden of Walpole plus wives seven grandchildren and a great grandchild. A reception and dinner followed with many friends bearing gifts of gold, antiques fill the parlor and a fine fireplace with old iron pots.
