Prize speaking contest set for Acton pupils
A prize speaking contest for 7th and 8th graders is scheduled for March 17 in South Acton. Ellsworth McLaughlin of the Cockadoodle Club reported January egg production at 48.4 percent. Herbert A Dodge Jr. is expected to be born to Mr and Mrs Herbert A Dodge. Helena Tucker leads Kumjoynus with 119 hours of house work. Alice Franklin and Marjorie Jones report 68 and 61 darns respectively. Marian Forbes of the Middlesex County Bureau outlined their program to Kumjoynus. Eleanor Clark organized a four violin school orchestra: Lewis Whitney Roland Johnson Irene Halberg and Marjorie Jonas. Mrs Adeline Priest, widow of Jacob Priest, died at Acton Street home Monday night at 8:30. Funeral Thursday afternoon. Acton clubs unite for final meeting May 1 at town hall.
