Cutler issued diplomas and the class song was sung by all. Rita Converso, Norman Pearsons and Marion Thompson penned the class words. The service closed with benediction by Rev. James J. Walsh.

Legion Auxiliary Board Finishes Year Plans and Donations

The James J. Mansfield Legion Auxiliary Executive Board met at Mrs. Helen E. Parsons home to complete yearly business. They voted a donation to the Legion Post Fourth of July celebration and to fund screens and curtains for the Auxiliary room at Emerson hospital. Miss Mary Mulrey of Weston, related to Mrs. Michael Burke of Concord, received a box of cookies donated for the welfare fund.

Concord High School awarded diplomas to 108 members of the senior class of 1938 and two post graduates at a commencement in the State Armory. Dr. Alfred E. Stearns delivered the principal address as the students marched in to Wagner and Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones.

Lincoln wedding joins Langille and Bunker pair

At a Concord Unitarian ceremony in Lincoln on Friday evening Alma Muir Langille daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Langille wed Elliott Stevens Bunker son of Mrs. Abbie Bunker of Concord road Sout. Rev Dana McLeah officiated. Maude Tompkins was maid of honor and L Foster Ber best man. No reception was held and the couple left for a motor honeymoon. The bride, a Concord High graduate, has worked for Utica Mutual Insurance. The groom attended Concord High and Massachusetts Nautical School and works in Lincoln printing.

John Ruble Wins Prize for 30 Pound Fish

WPA Funds Target Maynard Sidewalks and Projects

An additional 65000 from the Federal Government funds Maynard sidewalk construction, joining previous 42000 allotted earlier this year. The WPA quota for unemployed stands at 322 with many workers building sidewalks across town. Others work on Alumni Field and Crowe Park projects including tennis courts and a grand stand.

Concord Legion Band Concerts Move Between Squares

The Concord Board of Selectmen decided to move concerts from Emerson Playground to the Square lineup and alternate with West Concord. The first event occurred Friday at A Rideout playground. Friday dates resume with band stand on the Green, while Monday night concert replaces the one moved. The Mansfield Post Fourth of July feature will use Emerson Playground as planned.

Miss Blanche Dorothy Maurer daughter of Jets and Mr and Mrs Needham of Lexington married Saturday evening at the Trinitarian Church. Dr Bo Wilmott officiated assisted by Dr Webster Officiated.
