Maynard High School will hold graduation tonight at Colonial Hall with 41 graduates. The program features orchestral selections, essays, a class gift, diplomas, and a final address, followed by a reception at the Galans Pallon.
Nrietta M. Clark will marry Rev. A. J. Torsteff in a ceremony at Tor Spastor Ton Church. The couple plan to reside in a home on Arlington. The bride has long served as a faithful operator in the exchange and has made many friends in town.
The annual meeting of the Lag League at First Parish of Bedford adjourned with officers for the coming year: President Louis Pfeiffer, Vice President Dr. Byrom H. Far, Secretary Charles T. Kimball, Ernest Brown, and executive committee member William.
June 27 report notes Olga Illi leaving as assistant adent at Hmerson to join Faulkner Hospital Plain on return. Louise Needham of Bent Brigham Hospital Boston, recently from Warburton, will become assistant adent there after graduating from Needham High.
P W Jones known as Dad Jones of Contordace celebrated the twenty seventh anniversary of his marriage last week as friends sent congratulations and best wishes for health and happiness. He and his family spent time at their Wayside home near Boston Market on the farm Odle Greenfield.
Sudbury society notes Mrs Lawrence La Winship hosted the Lumcheon Club last Thursday. Mrs Frank Perkins led the Friday bridge and tea gathering. Mr and Mrs Stephen ee ey Face returned from a European trip. A Center area resident, Orchard Piper, is home after two months on business abroad.
Moving pictures to raise funds for adding to the Government’s equipment of a Day Room in the New Veterans Hospital at Bedford were shown to two full houses at Veterans Building. Mrs. Herbert Buttrick Hosmer led the event with the film Seventh Heaven set in World War I Paris.
Maynard June 27 Mizpah Rebekah Lodge hosted a large Children’s Night at Odd Fellows hall. Miss Ruth Bishop crowned Queen of Roses with Roberta and Ruth Marsden as attendants. Isabelle Annis performed a dance The Pink Rose. a piano trio and duet entertained. Marion Lester led a Mother Goose parade with many children joining as characters. Prizes and readings followed, and refreshments were served.

The funeral of Charles M. Byron, Spanish War Veteran and Concord business figure, was held Monday at 10:15 a.m. from his 35 Hubbard Street home. Solemn High Mass followed at St Bernard’s Church, with a procession to St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Byron, born October 1, 1878, led a long business career after starting in groceries on Thoreau Street. He served in the Spanish War with Company H, 182nd Infantry, and held memberships in Concord Council, Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Holy Name Society, and the Ralph P. Hosmer Camp. He is survived by four daughters and four sons, plus four brothers.
The C E S Chapter held its annual season kickoff on Thursday June 21 in Bedford. A business menu followed by a lobster supper, past Matrons and Patrons reception, and entertainment by Boston artists wrapped up the evening. Next meeting is set for September 6 at Grange Hall.
Concord June 27 Girls who participated in the recent show presented an entertaining program after the regular meeting of Division 44 Ladies Auxiliary Ancient Order of Hibernians at Monument Hall. The lineup featured folk dances songs and other numbers with notable performances by Marion Smith Mary Hennessy Catherine Rushe Leila Smith Myra Brown Cora Flannery and several Mrs. Collins arrivals receiving warm applause.

Miss Helen Dexter, daughter of Mrs. and the late Rev Owen Dent, wed Oliver Loring in Trinity Church with Rev Richard Loring and Rev Dexter officiating. The ceremony featured lace gowns and orange blossoms, followed by a reception at the Rectory. The couple will reside in Cambridge while Loring completes his studies at the Episcopal Theological School.
Bedford mourns Willis H. Kenrick who died suddenly in Tampa Florida. Born April 17 1889 in Lexington he married Ida Mathews of Bedford and later moved to Cochituate then Tampa. Survived by widow father and grandmother and nephew Herbert Matthews. Funeral services held by local fraternal orders.
Residents gather Saturday evening to bid farewell to Concord Junction and celebrate officially becoming West Concord on Sunday July 1. The West Concord Village Improvement Society led by Rev. William J. Batt hosts an outdoor celebration with band music by Acton, speeches, and refreshments at the town grounds.
Neighbors and members from Mixpah Maynard Willow and Winona lodges gathered for Neighbors Night at Winona Rebekah Lodge. A Willow lodge sketch titled Just Advertisy drew applause, with Mrs. Fenton delivering two songs, and Ralph Jamieson performing. The Mizpah lodge presented The Wedding of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah. District deputy president and Medford marshal attended. A luncheon followed hosted by Winona Lodge members.
A Chevrolet sedan driven by William Munn of West Acton and a Ford coupe driven by Armas West of Maynard collided at Parmen ter's crossing on Acton Road Monday night after ten. Mrs Munn and four other riders sustained cuts and injuries while the Ford was a complete wreck. Police and local officials assisted at the scene.
A Sudbury Centre golden wedding anniversary for Rev George H Clarke and his wife drew hundreds to the town hall. Dignitaries, relatives, and friends from nearby towns attended afternoon and evening events with speeches, letters, and gifts including cash gifts of 250 dollars. The couple's family, past associates, and notable Sudbury figures filled the gatherings, honoring decades of marriage and community service.
Maynard aged 70 dies Tuesday at Concord after service at St Bridget's. Survived by brother James of Ashburnham and niece Mrs Frank Nicholas. Body brought to Miss Elizabeth Carpenter's home. requiem mass Friday at St Bridget's Church with burial at parish cemetery.
A telegram from William Wilson and MacFarlane reports they arrived safely at Moncton New Brunswick. The message says their journey was pleasant but fog caused delays and they did not reach the expected time.
