Last Friday the Red Cross Bloodmobile visited Concord collecting 68 pints from 78 donors. Officials blame a combination of factors for not meeting the goal and pledge renewed effort, urging public support for future drives.

Concord Plans Fourth Day Colorful Patriotic Parade
The Concord Council and Knights of Columbus host a four day program with a July 5 parade at 2 pm starting on main streets to be announced. Gerard J. Burke is chief marshal and John B Finigan leads parade arrangements. Floats bands civic and military units, drill teams and horribles will march in a likely three mile, two hour procession.
