Children Day Program At Evangelical Free Church

A Children’s Day program was held at the Evangelical Free Church on Sunday evening. Pins for perfect Sunday School attendance were awarded, with some receiving the 112th pin. Seven teachers presented a plant to each member, and two flags the American and Christian were dedicated. Rev. Harry P. Concord draft board announces latest local enlistment list

The Concord draft board released a new list of local men who passed pre army medical exams at Fort Devens and go on 14 day furloughs. Report to Fort Devens next week for active duty. Names include Saline Weet, Leo Beta, Edward Flannery, Thomas Tombeno, Henry Murray, and Bard McCarthy among Concord residents. Also accepted by the Navy Frede and Wyatt Ganfield, Walter Brauns Jr., with James Callahan and Victor Pozerski in V 12 and Army Aviation Cadets. The group is part of Draft Board 54 serving Acton Wayland Cochituate Sudbury Lincoln and Concord. Further reclassification and additional married men await assignment and another screening at the Concord armory.

Miss Mary Kelley Rites Held For 74 Year Old Resident

Miss Mary Kelley aged 74, longtime town resident and former Adams family housekeeper, died suddenly Thursday. A high mass was scheduled at St Bene church Saturday morning for her funeral. she lived at 66 Sudbury Road with many years of service in the community.

Fenn School Graduates Seventeen In Concord Ceremony

Death of Concord Resident Edgar Clark at 82

Funeral services held for Edgar Francis Clark a life long Concord resident who died June 2 after a short illness at his home.
