Acton’s oldest citizen Luther Conant celebrated 91st birthday
Acton marked the 91st birthday of Luther Conant at his Lowell and Acton home with 160 guests from Acton Concord Watertown Cambridge Boston. Conant, born June 4, 1831, taught school, served as selectman, moderator for 40 years, and long contributed to town life and the Acton Memorial Library.

Death of Charter Member Thomas Curry on Assabet Ave
Thomas Curry died early Wednesday at his home on Assabet Ave after a brief illness. He was a charter member of Concord Lodge No. 212 I.O.O.F and life member of Meridian Lodge A F and A M. He lived in Concord Junction for 34 years and was 82. Funeral set for Friday at 2 p.m. at his home conducted by local ministers. Interment in Edge Grove Cemetery Framingham. Survived by two daughters Mary A and Evira S Curry both of Concord Junction.
