Sunday golf play at the Concord Country Club used 12 holes per player with a two thirds handicap. Scores turned in include Harrie Richardson 52 38, Ralph C. Piper 63 38, Dr. Philip T. On Monday evening June 6 at eight o'clock the Concord Mothers Club meets at Mrs. George Bripkeon Barrett on Barrett's Mill Road for a covered dish supper and stunt night. Officers will be elected at the business session. Neighborhood group chairmen lead activities and each group will present a portion of the program and a stunt. If rain delays, the meeting moves to the next fair evening. bring a pillow.
The James J Mansfield Post No 168 American Legion plans a Fourth of July event at Emerson playground with a Concord Legion Band concert. They request citizen support, noting a minimum of three hundred fifty dollars needed for a quality program. Subscriptions go to B Alcott Pratt, Post Treasurer, 78 Main Street, Concern.
Middlesex School varsity and second four-oared boats dominated a half mile race Saturday afternoon, easily beating Pomfret. Hutchinson led with a 2 45.4 time as Truesdale Bow Seligman Red Trumball and Doyle followed in the second boat to win by two lengths in 2 47.4.
On Sunday June Sth at Trinity Church Elm Street, Holy Communion at 8 00 A M and Holy Union and sermon at 11 00 A M with violin accompaniment. The choir will sing two Bach works and the chorus from a larger piece.

Rain Thursday afternoon caused postponements in Concord. The Concord and Belmont High School girls match on Emerson Delay ground courts was halted after a few games, and the Country Club Juniors versus Winchester Juniors at Concord Country Club was also postponed.
The Middlesex County Council American Legion Auxiliary met Saturday in North Reading with attendance from Mrs Helga Hanley and Mrs Josephine Mahoney of the Concord Auxiliary executive board and Mrs Helen E Pargona, president. Members gathered at ten o clock and visited the grave of Gold Star mother Mrs Mary F Mansfield. The next Auxiliary meeting is scheduled for 2 PM in the Veterans Building on June 20, the Monday after the convention.
South Acton resident John Monroe Anderson son of Mr and Mrs Carl B Anderson of High street received War Department notice of his successful final examination for appointment to West Point. He must report July 1 and would be Acton’s first West Point graduate. He is a 1934 Acton High School honors graduate and Dwight School alum. He held roles in DeMolay and St George's Church. He was a standout athlete on Acton teams and previously attended Westbury High School.
Concord High School moved into sole first place in the Middlesex league yesterday, defeating Winchester 2 to 1 at Emerson Playground. Pitcher Herb Willie dominated the visitors, allowing no walks as Concord earned a one game lead with three contests left for each side.
Funeral services for Mrs Harriet A Shepard widow of Herbert A Shepard were held at 350 Main Street West Concord. She lived in West Concord most of her life, spent 12 years in Waltham, and was active in West Concord Church. She leaves a daughter Mrs Charles H B Judge son Harold R Shepard and a granddaughter. Burial was in Sleepy Hollow cemetery.
Copcord Mr and Mrs Arthur A Shurcliff of Mount Vernon Street Boston announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Homer Shurcliff to Dr Francis Cabot Lowell son of Mrs Frederick E Lowell of Nine Acre Corner and the late Mr Lowell Elizabeth attended Miss Winger's School and Bennington College Class of 1936 Dr Lowell Harvard College 1932 and Harvard Medical School 1936 now interning at Boston City Hospital
The Kings Vallghters plan their final regular meeting of the season and start a weekly flower mission from the Colonial Inn on Monday afternoon in June to send flowers to the sick and others in Boston.
Camp Falcon on Sebago Lake Maine under Howard G Hawkes head of physical education for boys in the Cout and Public schools lists Ernest Verrill Bobby Mullen Harold Fairbanks and John Codding as local lads for the summer season opening July 1 Camp Falcon runs until August 28.
Caddies at Concord Country Club now wear red cap identifiers with a white letter for quick recognition by players and staff. The change aims to streamline service and reduce mix ups on the course.

Announcement outlines the Fenn School plan for a new hospital on Monument Street memory of Henry S Hall Cambridge.
