Concord Police report Concord Karl B Spooner was held up by a car while driving a truck toward Monument Street near the Man, the thief forced him to the road and robbed him of $20.00. Rob t Mara of Bedford Street received notice of acceptance to Dartmouth College for September 1943. He is a spring graduate of Worcester Academy with honors in basketball and baseball and was a member of Concord High’s 1988 crew key athlete. Mara fell ill with pneumonia but has recovered and plans to avoid baseball this summer to enter the New England Indian College in good condition.
