He had studied plumbing and heating and nearly tripled his enterprise before the loss. crowds return to view new stores as Walden Sr. takes an active role amid sympathy and offers of support from town leaders.
Jean J. Vanderveer, New York born and Concord resident, built a career auditing railroads and banks, served as chief clerk to Admiral Dewey during the Spanish American War, and earned a Navy commendation. After naval service he edited Sea Breezes and now plans a new venture selling kitchen utensils and hardware at Boston Prices.
The White Mountains of New Hampshire are lauded for their beauty and natural wonders. A. J. Whalen was shot in the shoulder near his Orchard street home on the night of July 4. A neighbor retrieved a 2-bullet from his shoulder and Dr. Duhamel tended him. Police say no suspect is identified and the incident is believed to be accidental.
